Colby is the Head of Operations for a chain of independent pharmacies in Iowa & Nebraska. Along with Colby’s technical involvement, his deep understanding of the pharmacy industry has fueled the expansion of Display Local to the niche market of independent pharmacies.

History

  • 2020
    Beginning

    Peter and Colby develop a simple digital signage app designed to show live Facebook likes on screens at businesses.

  • 2020-2021
    Development

    The original concept expands to include more social media counters, including Instagram followers and Google my Business reviews.

  • 2021-2022
    Beta Testing

    Display Local begins real world testing at numerous brick and mortar businesses, varying from restaurants to apartment complexes. Valuable feedback is implemented into further product development and the product vision begins to take place.

  • 2022-2023
    Communities

    Display Local introduces a feature that enables advertisers and 3rd parties to easily promote content on a community of screens. We develop our first partnership to deploy Display Local city-wide, which spurs a number of product improvements throughout the 2023 year.

  • Early 2024
    Market Expansion

    In addition to expanding communities, Display Local adds targeted use cases to provide tailored digital signage experiences for certain markets, such as pharmacies.

  • Mid 2024-present
    Pharmacy Specialization

    Display Local shifts its primary focus to independent pharmacies, offering curated content and AI-driven features to simplify in-store marketing. Display Local now has screens at pharmacies in 8 states and 2 countries.
